~OUR PASTOR~

        Reverend Cordell Fountain is the youngest of three children born to the late Leon and Levada Fountain.  He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. At an early age, Reverend Fountain accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. 

     Reverend Fountain was called into Ministry at the age of 15 and licensed to preach the gospel at age 17 under the leadership of Reverend Otis Newton of Cleveland, Ohio.

Reverend Fountain graduated from the Cleveland Public School System; attended Moody Bible Institute, Cleveland Extension, and graduated from the Ashland Theological Seminary (McCreary Center).

    He served as Associate Minister with the Lee Seville Baptist Church and the Providence Baptist Church in Cleveland for many years.  In that capacity, he taught Sunday School, Bible study, served with the Hunger Ministry and visited with the sick and shut in.

Reverend Fountain has served as the Sr. Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Midland, PA, since June 2008.  He is a member of the Pittsburgh Ministers Conference of Pittsburgh, PA and vicinity. The First Baptist Church has been blessed by the teaching and preaching ministry of Rev. Fountain. Under his leadership First Baptist has implemented a Greeters Ministry, J.A.M. (Jesus And Me Children’s Church). During his short tenure First Baptist has paid off its mortgage added a brand-new choir, and the church is bustling and thriving. The First Baptist and Rev. Fountain look forward to reaching greater heights in Gods kingdom.

    Rev. Fountain is married to wife Arlisa Fountain and the father of two daughters, Caliah and Claire. His sister, Robin Bennett and brother Leon Fountain reside in Cleveland.  Reverend Fountain is an avid sports fan.  He enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Reverend Fountain loves God and the preached word of God.  He desires to present the Gospel of Jesus to all who will hear.
